Leader Quebradillas delivered the seventh victory on Saturday night. This time they beat 5th ranked Capitanes (4-5) 83-78 in Arecibo. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 47-41 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Quebradillas looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was international center Peter John Ramos (222-85) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Daniel Brown (185-84, college: Illinois) chipped in 9 points and 12 assists. American-Panamanian guard Danilo Pinnock (196-83, college: George Washington, agency: SportsTalent) produced a double-double by scoring 28 points and 14 rebounds and guard Omar Alvarado (180-83) added 9 points and 7 assists respectively for the hosts. Quebradillas (7-2) have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position, which they share with Bayamon. Loser Capitanes dropped to the sixth place with five games lost. Quebradillas will face bottom-ranked Indios (#10) in Mayaguez in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
