Important game to mention about took place in Mayaguez. Ninth ranked Gallitos (4-7) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 10th ranked Indios (3-9) 74-73 in the game for the ninth place. The guests trailed by 11 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 74-73. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Gallitos made 8 blocks. The best player for the winners was guard Josue Soto (186-80) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds.
