Very important is a home loss of third ranked Zadar (6-4) against fifth ranked Cibona (5-4) on Wednesday night. Host Zadar was crushed by Cibona in Zadar 93-70. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Zadar. The game without a history. Cibona led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Zadar to just 7 points in first quarter. Cibona made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Zadar turnovers. The best player for the winners was international swingman Bojan Bogdanovic (202-89) who scored 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international guard Goran Vrbanc (194-84) chipped in 22 points. Four Cibona players scored in double figures. Cibona's coach Josip Vrankovic felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was center Ive Ivanov (201-85) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and swingman Marko Car (188-85) added 21 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place in Group A. Loser Zadar keeps the third position with four games lost.
