No shocking result in a game when second ranked Okapi Aalstar (19-9) beat on the road bottom-ranked Optima Gent (5-22) 77-69 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 77-69. It was a very good performance for American forward Christopher Copeland (203-84, college: Colorado, agency: 540 Sports) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 6 rebounds. His fellow American import swingman Anthony Hilliard (193-86, college: Elizabeth City) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Okapi Aalstar players scored in double figures. Okapi Aalstar's coach Brad Dean used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Senne Geukens (190-83) answered with 12 points and 8 rebounds and American power forward Monwell Randle (203-83, college: SE Missouri St., agency: Court Side) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Optima Gent. Okapi Aalstar maintains second place with 19-9 record having just one points less than leader Charleroi. Loser Optima Gent stay dead last with 22 lost games. Okapi Aalstar will face league's leader Spirou Charleroi at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
