Worth to mention a great performance of center Josep Ortega (201-84) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. American forward Levi Rost (201-83, college: W.Michigan) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Girona FC players scored in double figures. Girona FC's coach Ricard Casas allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The former international power forward Ricardo Guillen (205-76) answered with 28 points and 9 rebounds and Argentinian-Italian point guard Nicolas Richotti (181-86) added 12 points in the effort for La Laguna.
