The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 88-80. Kyoto Hannaryz had a 31-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Shiga Lakestars helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Trinidad and Tobago power forward Kibwe Trim (208-84, college: Sacred Heart) contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Five Kyoto Hannaryz players scored in double figures. American power forward Gary Hamilton (208-84, college: Miami, FL) answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 17 rebounds and the other American import guard Mikey Marshall (196-81, college: Texas Tech, agency: Warren Sports International) added 12 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Shiga Lakestars. Shiga Lakestars' coach Haruyuki Ishibashi rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
