Fifteenth-ranked Bornova (7-22) gave a tough game to third ranked Banvit (22-7). The visitors from Balikesir managed to secure only one-point victory 72-71. However their fans expected much easier game. Bornova cut a 15-point halftime deficit to one at the end of the game. The former international guard Baris Ermis (194-85) saved the victory by scoring 18 points and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field).
