Very important is a home loss of second ranked Vaqueros (8-4) against eighth ranked Capitanes (5-6) on Saturday night. Host Vaqueros were defeated by Capitanes in a tough game in Bayamon 79-87. Vaqueros were tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Capitanes brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. 28 personal fouls committed by Vaqueros helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. International guard Larry Ayuso (190-77, college: USC, agency: Global Sports Plaza) fired 34 points (!!!) for the winners. The former international center Jeffrion Aubry (205-76, college: Cornell, agency: Paris Global Sports) chipped in 4 points, 17 rebounds and 5 blocks. The former international guard Christian Dalmau (194-77, college: Daytona Beach CC, agency: Paris Global Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 assists and naturalized Ivorian guard Walter Hodge (183-86, college: Florida) added 13 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side.
