Regular Season Round 10: Quebradillas - Humacao 95-98

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Quebradillas (9-3) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by fourth ranked Caciques (7-5) 98-95. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Quebradillas. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 24-18 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Caciques looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman James Maye (201-81, college: NC-Greensboro) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds. point guard Denis Clemente (185-86, college: Kansas St., agency: KMG Sports Management) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 6 rebounds and 12 assists for the winners. International center Peter John Ramos (222-85) replied with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 4 blocks and American guard Daniel Brown (185-84, college: Illinois) added 17 points and 8 assists in the effort for Quebradillas. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Caciques have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 7-5 record. Quebradillas at the other side still keep top place with three games lost. Caciques are looking forward to face league's second-placed Vaqueros in Bayamon in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Quebradillas will have a break next round.
