The game without a history. Shiga Lakestars led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Kyoto Hannaryz to just 7 points in second quarter. American power forward Gary Hamilton (208-84, college: Miami, FL) orchestrated the victory by scoring 8 points and 15 rebounds. The other American import forward Lamar Rice (203-82, college: Georgetown, KY) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Shiga Lakestars players scored in double figures. Trinidad and Tobago power forward Kibwe Trim (208-84, college: Sacred Heart) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) added 17 points in the effort for Kyoto Hannaryz. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
