Semi-Finals Game 2: M.Magixx - Leiden 67-71

Tuesday night in the DBL semifinals, both ZZ Leiden and Eiffel Towers got back on track, evening the series at 1-1, with ZZ Leiden pulling out a close one in the Horstacker over Magixx Kidsright, and Eiffel Towers pulling away from defending Dutch champion Gas Terra Flames in the last four minutes. In Nigmegen, #1 seed ZZ Leiden needed badly a win to avoid an 0-2 deficit vs. fiesty Magixx Kidsright, with the free throw line in the last 3 minutes their best friend, winning by the score of 71-67. In the time frame the #1 seed were able to draw fouls on Magixx, which resulted in frequent trips to the free throw line from the trio of Seamus Boxley, Ross Bekkering and Arvin Slagter. There were a total of 19 free throw attempts in the last 1:18 of the game, with Slagter nailing 5 of 6 to keep Magixx at bay. Slagter led ZZ with 15 pts. Zaire Taylor led all scorers with 25 pts.
