The game without a history. TSU led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 32-of-38 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game, while GTU only scored ten points from the stripe. They outrebounded GTU 56-39 including a 36-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. GTU was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Richard Matiashvili (209-89) nailed a double-double by scoring 31 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and the former international forward Mikheil Berishvili (205-87) accounted for 19 points and 10 rebounds (made all of his eleven free throws !!!). Guard Beqa Chikviladze (195-91) came up with 25 points and 4 assists and forward Vasili Beruashvili (198-90) added 11 points and 11 rebounds respectively for GTU in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. GTU's coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win.
