Spartak was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 24-23 charge of Levski, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 9-3. Levski dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Spartak's 32 and made 25-of-29 free shots (86.2 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Spartak 47-33 including a 36-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Spartak was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. International power forward Stefan Georgiev (206-78) stepped up and scored 22 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) for the winners and American swingman Aaron Harper (199-81, college: Mississippi, agency: Strategic Sports) chipped in 20 points and 9 rebounds. Levski's coach Konstantin Papazov used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side the former international swingman Hrisimir Dimitrov (197-74) responded with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and the former international forward Ilia Stankov (198-76) scored 17 points. Four Spartak players scored in double figures.
