The game was mostly controlled by Olympiakos. VAP Kolossos was better in second period 16-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Olympiakos players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. International center Loukas Mavrokefalides (207-84) notched 20 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and Serbian guard Milos Teodosic (195-87) supported him with 15 points and 8 assists. Even 11 points and 7 rebounds by naturalized American center Steve Panos (203-88, college: Weber St.) did not help to save the game for VAP Kolossos. Slovenian-Croatian forward Jurica Golemac (209-77, agency: Beo Basket) added 9 points for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
