Akita Happinets were trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 21-16 charge of Niigata Albirex, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American center George Leach (210-81, college: Indiana) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 8 rebounds. Trinidad and Tobago power forward Julius Ashby (205-82, college: Colorado) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American swingman Will Graves (198-88, college: N.Carolina) answered with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import guard Sek Henry (193-87, college: Nebraska, agency: Impact Basketball) added 14 points and 6 assists in the effort for Akita Happinets. Four Akita Happinets players scored in double figures. Akita Happinets' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
