The game without a history. TSU led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. TSU outrebounded Kutaisi 52-27 including a 27-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. Kutaisi was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Ilia Londaridze (205-89) nailed a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and the former international forward Mikheil Berishvili (205-87) accounted for 21 points and 11 rebounds. Four TSU players scored in double figures. Guard Buba Kvimsadze (195-82) came up with 14 points and 5 rebounds and forward Rezo Didia (203-87) added 15 points and 4 blocks respectively for Kutaisi in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
