The game was mostly controlled by Athinaikos. FEA Neas was better in third quarter 14-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded FEA Neas 33-20 including 21 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Athinaikos especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.5 percentage. International guard Dimitra Kalentzou (174-78) stepped up and scored 20 points for the winners and American center Ruth Riley (196-79, college: Notre Dame) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side the former international guard Tania Halivera (178-85) responded with 16 points and 4 steals and American forward Kathleen Daly (168, college: Scranton) scored 11 points.
