The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 13-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 80-49. Panathinaikos dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Aris' 28. Panathinaikos forced 28 Aris turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Jordan Murphree (183-87, college: Texas Tech, agency: Merit Sports) who helped to win the game recording 12 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Forward Theodora Panteli (183-87, college: Binghamton) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Panathinaikos players scored in double figures. Forward Nikoleta Balla (181-92) answered with 6 points and 10 rebounds and forward Maria Tranta (175-92) added 9 points in the effort for Aris. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
