The game was mostly controlled by Galil Gilboa. Hapoel Holon was better in third quarter 28-27. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Galil Gilboa dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Hapoel Holon's 28. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a good game for international point guard Gal Mekel (193-88, college: Wichita St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists. International guard Dagan Yavzuri (193-85) contributed with 24 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five Galil Gilboa players scored in double figures. American power forward Rich Melzer (203-79, college: Wisc.-RiverFal., agency: Court Side) answered with 24 points and 8 rebounds and the former international point guard Moran Roth (183-82) added 19 points and 6 assists in the effort for Hapoel Holon.
