It looked good early as Kutaisi took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then TSU had a 22-15 second period charge getting the lead and Kutaisi was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 66-77. TSU players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was an exceptional evening for center Richard Matiashvili (209-89) who led the winners and scored 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Center Ilia Londaridze (205-89) accounted for 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Center Mamuka Bolkvadze (205-83) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and forward Rezo Didia (203-87) added 12 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Kutaisi in the defeat. Five TSU and four Kutaisi players scored in double figures.
