Regular Season Round 15: Quebradillas - Guaynabo 87-94

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Quebradillas. Third ranked Mets faced 3rd placed Quebradillas. Guests from Guaynabo (11-7) defeated host Quebradillas (11-6) 94-87. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Quebradillas won third quarter 19-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was international swingman Angel Daniel Vassallo (198-86, college: Virginia Tech) who scored 35 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 4 assists. American center Shaun Pruitt (208-85, college: Illinois, agency: Edge Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international guard Rick Apodaca (192-80, college: Hofstra, agency: Paris Global Sports) who recorded 26 points and 4 assists and international center Peter John Ramos (222-85) added 21 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Five Mets and four Quebradillas players scored in double figures. Mets maintains third place with 11-7 record having just -2 point less than leader Bayamon. Quebradillas lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the second position with six games lost. Mets are looking forward to face league's leader Vaqueros in Bayamon in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Quebradillas will play at home against Capitanes in Arecibo and are hoping to win this game.
