It looked good early as Leche Rio Breogan took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Obradoiro CAB had a 34-16 second period charge getting the lead and Leche Rio Breogan was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 67-97. It was a great shooting night for Obradoiro CAB especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 60.0 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Leche Rio Breogan's players. Leche Rio Breogan was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Alberto Corbacho (201-84) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). American forward Michael Ruffin (203-77, college: Tulsa) contributed with 9 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Obradoiro CAB players scored in double figures. point guard Jordi Vallmajo (190-82) replied with 15 points and American forward Eric Hicks (198-83, college: Cincinnati) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Leche Rio Breogan. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
