Bnei Hasharon was ahead by 2 points after three quarters before a 31-29 charge of Maccabi Rishon, which allowed them to win the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Bnei Hasharon was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Dwayne Mitchell (196-82, college: La-Lafayette, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 20 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists. The other American import guard Isaiah Swann (188-85, college: Florida St.) contributed with 34 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Maccabi Rishon players scored in double figures. American point guard Ronald Steele (187-86, college: Alabama, agency: SportsTalent) replied with 28 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and American-Romanian swingman Dan Grunfeld (198-84, college: Stanford) added 28 points (made all of his seven free throws) in the effort for Bnei Hasharon.
