Fastweb Casale earned the spot in the next round after a dramatic overtime win over Tuscany Pistoia. The guests were ahead by 1 point but lost the second period ending it with a 8-point deficit before their 16-8 run, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 11-6. Fastweb CM outrebounded Tuscany Pistoia 45-30 including 30 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American guard Ricky Hickman (190-85, college: NC-Greensboro) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 assists. Naturalized American power forward David Chiotti (206-84, college: N.Mexico, agency: Court Side) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds. Fastweb CM's coach Marco Crespi allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Jarvis Varnado (206-88, college: Mississippi St.) who recorded 12 points, 9 rebounds and 7 blocks and Latvian forward Janis Porzingis (201-82, agency: Stanley International) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
