Quarter-Finals Round 1: M.Hainaut - Leuven 81-54

Date: May 17, 2011
The game was mostly controlled by Dexia Mons-Hainaut. Leuven Bears managed to win fourth quarter 10-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Dexia Mons-Hainaut forced 19 Leuven Bears turnovers and outrebounded them 38-24 including 26 on the defensive glass. American swingman Shan Foster (198-86, college: Vanderbilt) stepped up and scored 15 points for the winners and his fellow American import guard Marcus Hatten (186-80, college: St.John's) chipped in 8 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Dexia Mons-Hainaut players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Kevin Melson (199-78, college: Wright St.) responded with 11 points and Samoan-American power forward John Tofi (203-84, college: UTEP, agency: Court Side) scored 6 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
