The guests trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 27-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Penarol dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Libertad Sunchales' 18. It was a great evening for American guard Kyle Lamonte (191-84, college: William Carey, agency: KMG Sports Management) who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points and 6 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). The former international power forward Martin Leiva (208-80) helped adding 16 points and 11 rebounds. Lamonte is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Penarol's coach Sergio Hernandez used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was forward Alexander David Galindo (198-85, college: FIU) with 23 points and 6 rebounds and international guard Juan Pablo Cantero (184-82) scored 14 points and 4 assists. Five Penarol and four Libertad Sunchales players scored in double figures.
