Important game to mention about took place in New Eritrea. Seventh ranked Apollon Patras (14-13) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 13th ranked Panerythraikos (10-17) 65-63 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 22-10 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for guard Nikos Argyropoylos (188-78) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 4 assists. Serbian forward Djordje Pantelic (204-84) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 14 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winners. Forward Tasos Kallianotis (193-83) answered with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Thanasis Straganiotis (180-83) added 10 points and 4 assists in the effort for Panerythraikos. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Apollon Patras moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Panelefsiniakos. Panerythraikos at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the twelfth position with 17 games lost. Apollon Patras will face AEK/Argous (#8) at home in the next round. Panerythraikos will play against the league's leader KAOD (#1) in Dramas.
