Bologna avoided elimination posting the first win in the series against Montepaschi Siena. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 74-68. It was a great shooting night for CS Bologna especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. 26 personal fouls committed by Montepaschi Siena helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American swingman K.C. Rivers (196-87, college: Clemson, agency: Lanshire Group) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). American-Bulgarian center Jared Homan (206-83, college: Iowa St.) helped adding 15 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four CS Bologna players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Lithuanian center Ksistof Lavrinovic (210-79) with 19 points and Lithuanian guard Rimantas Kaukenas (193-77, college: Seton Hall) scored 15 points. Montepaschi Siena's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.
