Quarter-Finals Round 4: Benetton TV - Sidigas AV 69-59

Date: May 25, 2011
Benetton toppled Air Avellino in Treviso and clinched the semifinal spot. The game was mostly controlled by Benetton Treviso. Air Avellino was better in second period 16-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Benetton Treviso dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Air Avellino's 26. They outrebounded Air Avellino 46-30 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by Lithuanian center Donatas Motiejunas (213-90, agency: Interperformances) who scored that evening 20 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Alessandro Gentile (198-92) supported him with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Even a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds by American forward Linton Johnson (203-80, college: Tulane, agency: Priority Sports) did not help to save the game for Air Avellino. American-Spanish guard Taquan Dean (193-83, college: Louisville, agency: Lanshire Group) added 18 points for lost side.
