Penarol earned the second consecutive win over Atenas in the championship series. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 82-66. 26 personal fouls committed by Atenas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. International forward Leonardo Gutierrez (200-78) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Facundo Campazzo (180-91) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Penarol players scored in double figures.
