Quarter-Finals Round 4: Mexicali - Culiacan 88-90 OT

Culiacan needed an overtime to tame Mexicali and complete the sweep in the series. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime then Bomberos de Mexicali managed to tie the game at the end of regular time. However that was Caballeros de Culiacan who were better in overtime eventually winning that period 16-14. They made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. American guard Marcus Moore (198-80, college: Washington St.) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners. The former international guard David Meza Rogel (187-85, college: Arizona W. CC) chipped in 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Caballeros de Culiacan's coach Jonathan Meza used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American guard Michael Gale (193-82, college: Centenary) produced 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international guard Richard Lopez (192-78, college: Cal.Baptist) added 23 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Caballeros de Culiacan and four Bomberos de Mexicali players scored in double figures.
