Atenas celebrated the first win in the title series. They shot down Penarol at home court. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 18-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Atenas made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American power forward James Williams (204-79, college: Brown Mackie, agency: Dream Team Management) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds.
