Cananea prevailed against Tijuana away from home to advance into the semis. The game was mostly controlled by Mineros de Cananea. Tijuana Zonkeys was better in fourth quarter 26-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Mineros de Cananea dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Tijuana Zonkeys' 50. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
