The game without a history. Penarol led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Atenas to just 6 points in second quarter. They outrebounded Atenas 40-20 including a 33-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Penarol shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Atenas' players. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Kyle Lamonte (191-84, college: William Carey, agency: KMG Sports Management) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 7 rebounds and international forward Leonardo Gutierrez (200-78) who added 20 points and 4 assists during the contest. Lamonte is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side the former international guard Bruno Labaque (183-77, agency: Interperformances) responded with 16 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Gregory Lewis (198-78, college: Winthrop, agency: Dream Team Management) scored 6 points and 5 rebounds. Atenas' coach Sebastian Gonzalez gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win.
