BSN top team - Vaqueros (16-8) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat ninth ranked Maratonistas (9-17) in Coamo 68-60. Maratonistas were trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 20-9 charge of Vaqueros, which allowed them to win the game. It was a very good performance for the former international guard Christian Dalmau (194-77, college: Daytona Beach CC, agency: Paris Global Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Terrence Shannon (203-79, college: Elgin CC, agency: Paris Global Sports) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Guard Christopher Vega (182-84) replied with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international center Manuel Antonio Narvaez (211-81, college: S.Nazarene, agency: Paris Global Sports) added 12 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Maratonistas. Vaqueros maintains first position with 16-8 record. Maratonistas lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 17 games lost. Vaqueros will face Cangrejeros (#3) in Santurce in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Maratonistas will play on the road against the league's second-placed Mets (#2) in Guaynabo.
