Finals Game 3: Spirou - Aalstar 59-53
Date: June 4, 2011
The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 23-14. But Okapi Aalstar won second period 18-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Spirou Charleroi won last quarter 13-9. It was a great evening for American guard Kyle Weaver (198-86, college: Washington St., agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points and 7 rebounds. International forward Christophe Beghin (207-80, agency: Court Side) helped adding 10 points. Spirou Charleroi's coach Giovanni Bozzi used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American forward Christopher Copeland (203-84, college: Colorado, agency: 540 Sports) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import guard Stanley Burrell (190-84) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds.
