Aris was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. PAOK made 31-of-37 free shots (83.8 percent) during the game. Aris was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. FYR Macedonian center Todor Gechevski (209-77, agency: Interperformances) fired 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American guard Dionte Christmas (196-86, college: Temple) chipped in 18 points. Four PAOK players scored in double figures. Guard Kosta Charalampidis (189-76) produced 28 points (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and the former international guard Nikos Hatzivrettas (195-77) added 16 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
