The game was mostly controlled by Mineros de Cananea. Ostioneros de Guaymas was better in fourth quarter 25-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Mineros de Cananea made 19-of-25 charity shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Mineros de Cananea outrebounded Ostioneros de Guaymas 37-19 including a 30-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Ostioneros de Guaymas were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Davin White (186-81, college: Cal.St. Northridge) orchestrated the victory by scoring 43 points (!!!) and 7 assists. The other American import forward Brandon Brown (201-85, college: Cal.St.-San Bernar.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Brown is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American guard Richard Roby (198-85) replied with 27 points and the former international guard Anthony Pedroza (191-79, college: Oregon, agency: Edge Sports) added 18 points in the effort for Ostioneros de Guaymas. Four Mineros de Cananea and five Ostioneros de Guaymas players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
