Semi-Finals Game 3: Guaymas - Cananea 74-85

It looked good early as Ostioneros de Guaymas took an 7-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Mineros de Cananea had a 21-10 second period charge getting the lead and Ostioneros de Guaymas were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 74-85. The game was also dominated by American players. It was a good game for forward Brandon Brown (201-85, college: Cal.St.-San Bernar.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 20 rebounds. Guard Davin White (186-81, college: Cal.St. Northridge) contributed with 26 points and 9 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) for the winners. Brown is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Guard Richard Roby (198-85) answered with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Jerome Habel (208-85, college: San Diego St.) added 19 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Ostioneros de Guaymas. Four Ostioneros de Guaymas players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
