Fastweb Casale celebrated the first victory in the title series against Umana Reyer. The game was mostly controlled by Fastweb CM. Umana Venezia managed to win fourth quarter 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fastweb CM made 31-of-34 free shots (91.2 percent) during the game, while Umana Venezia only scored fifteen points from the stripe. They outrebounded Umana Venezia 43-25 including a 34-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. 25 personal fouls committed by Umana Venezia helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Donell Taylor (198-82, college: UAB) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Ricky Hickman (190-85, college: NC-Greensboro) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Forward Tamar Slay (204-80, college: Marshall) answered with 15 points and guard Lans Harris (195-83, college: Kansas St.) added 15 points in the effort for Umana Venezia. Four Umana Venezia players scored in double figures. Umana Venezia's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win.
