Fastweb Casale overcame Umana Reyer on the road to take 2-1 lead in the championship series. The game was mostly controlled by Fastweb CM. Umana Venezia managed to win second period 18-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Umana Venezia to just 7 points in third quarter and to 14 points in second half. It was a good game for American guard Ricky Hickman (190-85, college: NC-Greensboro) who led his team to a victory with 15 points. His fellow American import guard Donell Taylor (198-82, college: UAB) contributed with 8 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American forward Tamar Slay (204-80, college: Marshall) answered with 12 points and naturalized French center Sylvere Bryan (208-81, college: Tampa, agency: Interperformances) added 6 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Umana Venezia. Umana Venezia's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win.
