Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Quebradillas (15-13) defeated at home bottom-ranked Gallitos (10-20) 99-87 on Saturday. Gallitos were trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 28-15 charge of Quebradillas, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Gallitos' 42. Quebradillas looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Gallitos' players. The best player for the winners was international center Peter John Ramos (222-85) who had a double-double by scoring 30 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. American-Australian guard CJ Bruton (188-75, college: Indian Hills CC) chipped in 28 points. Argentinian forward Alexander David Galindo (198-85, college: FIU) produced 25 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and guard Jesus Verdejo (193-85, college: S.Florida) added 25 points respectively for the guests. Four Gallitos players scored in double figures. Quebradillas moved-up to fifth place. Loser Gallitos stay at the bottom position with 20 games lost. Quebradillas will meet Indios (#9) in the next round. Gallitos will have a break next round.
