Ninth-ranked Indios (11-18) made lots of trouble for fifth ranked Quebradillas (16-14). Quebradillas managed to secure only two-point victory 90-88. However their fans expected much easier game. Indios were ahead by 2 points after three quarters before a 29-25 charge of Quebradillas, which allowed them to win the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international swingman Joel Jones (196-81, college: Sacramento St.) who led the winners and scored 24 points. American-Australian guard CJ Bruton (188-75, college: Indian Hills CC) accounted for 18 points and 8 assists for the winning side. Guard Carlos Rivera (187-83, college: Hofstra, agency: Paris Global Sports) came up with 16 points and 7 assists and international guard Kevin Hamilton (193-84, college: Holy Cross, agency: Limelight Hoops) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Indios in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Indios' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Quebradillas maintains fifth place with 16-14 record. Indios at the other side keep the ninth position with 18 games lost. Quebradillas' next round opponent will be higher ranked Capitanes (#3) in Arecibo and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Indios will play on the road against Gallitos (#10) in Isabela and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
