The game was mostly controlled by Caciques. Vaqueros managed to win second period 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Vaqueros 49-28 including a 34-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. British V.Islands center Kleon Penn (211-86, college: McNeese St., agency: Paris Global Sports) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 19 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). American swingman James Maye (201-81, college: NC-Greensboro) contributed with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Penn is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The former international guard Christian Dalmau (194-77, college: Daytona Beach CC, agency: Paris Global Sports) replied with 23 points and international forward Carmelo Antrone Lee (201-77, college: Long Beach St., agency: Paris Global Sports) added 11 points in the effort for Vaqueros. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
