The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 23-12. But Mets won second period 21-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Cangrejeros won last quarter 27-27. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Mets' 40. It was a great evening for naturalized Ivorian point guard Walter Hodge (183-86, college: Florida) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 6 assists. The former international guard Wilfredo Pagan (184-76, agency: Paris Global Sports) helped adding 13 points and 5 rebounds. Cangrejeros' coach Rolando Hourruitiner allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American center Shaun Pruitt (208-85, college: Illinois, agency: Edge Sports) with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and the former international guard Carlos Escalera (190-79, college: Missouri So.) scored 22 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
