Quarter-Finals Round 4: Arecibo - Coamo 93-78

Arecibo is the first team who advanced to BSN Semis. They outplayed Coamo last night 93-78 for perfect 4-0 win in the QFinals. Arecibo will now wait for the winner Guaynabo - Santruce series.
The game was mostly controlled by Capitanes. Maratonistas managed to win fourth quarter 27-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Capitanes dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Maratonistas' 40. The winners were led by guard Omar Alvarado (180-83) who scored that evening 15 points and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots) and the former international center Daniel Santiago (216-76, college: N.Mexico, agency: Priority Sports) supported him with 18 points. Four Capitanes players scored in double figures. Even 13 points and 6 rebounds by guard Johwen Villegas (193-85, college: FIU) did not help to save the game for Maratonistas. point guard Nick Leon (180-88, college: St.Peter's) added 15 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
