Finals Game 9: HUNGARY - UNITED ARAB EMIRATES 84-62

Hungary overcame UAE on the final day of action at World University Games. The victory sealed the 19th-place finish for the winners. Mate Mohacsi scored 20 points and collected 8 rebounds to pace the effort. UAE jumped to an early lead but Hungary quickly denied the deficit. The European team posted a 25:16 lead ten minutes into the game. Hungary opened a double-digit lead early in the second term and maintained it well throughout the period. Hungary mounted the pressure in the third term and eased to a 20-point lead at the final break 68:48. UAE did not recover in the fourth frame and had to surrender at the end. Peter Szabo posted 19 points, while Zoltan Supola added 18 points in the win. Qais Alshabebi responded with 21 points for UAE. Mohamed AlBraiki netted 17 points in defeat.
