Kazakhstan could not make it to the Level I for next edition of the FIBA Asia Championship for Women. The team lost to Lebanon 54:65 on Saturday opener. Denson Brittany was too good for the opponents. Denson Brittany opened the scoring for the game, while Anastassiya Alishauskaite replied with a three-pointer, but it was Denson Brittany after that all the way for a long time. The winners grabbed 26:14 after the first period and never looked behind in the first period. Kondrakova Nadezhda reduced to 32:26, but Lebanon had 7 points advantage at the halftime. No matter how close Kazakhstan could come in the third period, they did not tie the game. Only Kondrakova Nadezhda’s shot gave Kazakhstan 50:49 lead in the last stanza. Denson Brittany responded immediately for 51:50 and she brought another four points for Lebanon. Nisrin DANDAN was the last to score for the winning side and will remain with them in Level I for next edition of the FIBA Asia Championship for Women. Denson Brittany erupted with 31 points and 20 rebounds, while Alameddine Nayla added 9. Kurazova Zalina and Kondrakova Nadezhda scored 17 points each and added 23 rebounds together. Seregina Tamara followed them with 10 points in a loss.
