Bottom-ranked San Juan W. is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their third consecutive match to sixth ranked Juncos V. (2-2) 83-61. The game was mostly controlled by Juncos V.. San Juan W. was better in fourth quarter 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Juncos V. forced 19 San Juan W. turnovers and outrebounded them 50-27 including a 32-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Taylor fired 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Kim Willoughy chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. Four Juncos V. players scored in double figures. American Tocara Ross produced 20 points and 7 rebounds and her fellow American import forward Holly Mahan (183-86, college: Towson) added 10 points and 4 steals respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Juncos V. moved-up to third place. San Juan W. at the other side still closes the standings with three games lost. Juncos V. will have a break next round. San Juan W. will play against Carolina G. (#4) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
