BSF top team - Morovis M. (4-0) managed to deliver another win on Wednesday. This time they beat sixth ranked Ponce L. (1-2) 67-53. The game was mostly controlled by Morovis M.. Ponce L. managed to win third quarter 16-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Ponce L. to just 1 points in second quarter. Morovis M. forced 20 Ponce L. turnovers and outrebounded them 59-39 including a 24-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by American forward Angelina Williams (183-83, college: Illinois) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 25 points and 18 rebounds and the other American import guard Brittainey Raven (183-88, college: Texas) supported her with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Even 16 points and 5 rebounds by Judianna Batiz did not help to save the game for Ponce L.. Guard Brittainey Raven (183-88, college: Texas) added 14 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Ponce L.'s coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Morovis M. have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record. Loser Ponce L. keeps the sixth place with two games lost. Morovis M. will meet at home Guaynabo M. (#5) in the next round. Ponce L. will have a break next round.
